Niseko Halloween 2015 Recap

This week, our entire 11th grade went to Niseko to help the Niseko campus for their Halloween party.

When we arrived, it was so cold, but the people were very happy to be there. Most of the time, we were really worried that we might not have enough time to finish our homework. But we still had a good time. After dinner, we went to the main building to help and start decorating for the party for the next day. We had a lot of fun decorating, and we came up with a lot of crazy ideas Such as, a skeleton on a wrecking ball like Miley Cyrus, and more creative ideas. We did kind of have a little struggle with a slot of ‘’spider webs’’, because we have so many we didnt really know what to do with them. Anyways, we end the night perfectly, and went back to the dorm, went to an onsen, and went back to the dorm again and finish our homework as soon as possible.

The next day, we were told that we cant do the bouncing castle because of the wind is too strong and the weather. But, that was the original plan for us to make a fortune. So eventually, all we end up doing was selling cotton candies. All of us were to assign to do different duties. The kids were all very happy, everyone was so creative with their own costumes., I was originally to be assigned to do trick or treating with kids, so I would had more chance to take pictures of kids, but since the bouncing castle was canceled, plans had changed. So, I ended up being a traffic guard, so I didnt have a chance to take pictures at all. But overall, I took some pictures of our decorations, and I will find some more picture details from our class.

On the way home, we were all very tired from trying to make kids happy, but we had a lot of fun. The view from the bus was so picturesque, we saw a lot of things that only Hokkaido has. Mountain Yotei, grain fields, corn fields, and more. As a new student at HIS, I feel like I get a chance to just know my class more. I really want to make a good impression on this class at this new school. Hopefully everyone will enjoy the rest of the year of 2015.

  1. Dear Owen,

Thank you for your work in helping our Halloween Festival to be special. It was a pleasure to work with you all. I will make sure to find a way to make your stay more “profitable” next time.

    Cheers and thank you again,
